TERMS & POLICIES

Please read the Terms and Policies carefully. By ordering a kit or other MPS products, you agree to be bound by the terms and policies. In regard to this document, the term “Kit” refers to the entire contents of a Kit, including all parts, templates, patterns, scaled plans, and construction manual.

 

POLICIES

​

1. Full payment due prior to shipping.

2. Shipping, handling, taxes, brokerage fees and any duties are not included in pricing and are additional costs to customer.

3. All orders are shipped using Canada Post.  Please contact us should you prefer other arrangements.  All shipping charges, duties, taxes and brokerage fees (if any), are the sole responsibility of the recipient. (Any refused shipments that are returned to Mountain Pacific, recipient will be billed for all these fees going and coming.)

4. As postal rates are high, we suggest your order be a minimum of $ 30.00.

5. Payment methods: cash, money order, credit card, e transfers, paypal and cheque.  (NOTE: cheques must clear bank prior to shipping. ($35.00 charge for NSF cheques.)   Orders will only be shipped upon receipt of full payment.

6. There is no charge for shipping and handling on Will Call (pick up) orders.

 

KIT  OWNERSHIP

Mountain Pacific Scenics, referred to as MPS in this document, and its owners own all right, title and interest in and to the Kit and grant to you a non-exclusive, non-transferable copy of the Kit for the purpose of constructing the Kit for your personal use. You may “scratch build” additional copies using the templates, patterns, scaled plans, and construction manual of each Kit purchased for your personal use only. We ask that you do not share your Kit purchases with others, but rather refer them to MPS for Kit purchases. Sharing of these Kits is a violation of International Copyright laws.

PRODUCT OWNERSHIP

 

Mountain Pacific Scenics, referred to as MPS in this document, and its owners own all right, title and interest in their manufactured products.

 

LIABILITY

MPS and its owners offer no guarantees and assume no responsibility or liability of any type with respect to the content of the Kits and/or products and will not be held liable for any damages or injuries caused by using or misusing the information in the Kit or product.  Anyone using these methods does so at his/her own risk.  By buying a Kit or other product, you agree that you will not hold, or seek to hold, MPS or its owners responsible or liable with respect to the content of the Kit and/or product. Techniques illustrated in the Kit should not be undertaken without a complete understanding and knowledge of the safe and proper use of all related tools and processes.

 

FOR COMMERCIAL USE

MPS welcomes professional or commercial model builders, however, if using our Kits to produce saleable models, you must purchase one Kit (license) for each model produced. Selling multiple models per singly purchased Kit is a violation of the Terms of Use and International Copyright Laws. Please contact MPS for clarification, or for other arrangements and conditions.

  

TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND WARRANTY

Construction of our Kit(s) assumes a certain level of model making ability, however, the scope and coverage of each Kit package should enable success by those of a wide range of model making abilities, including the novice builder. Every effort has been made in regard to sufficiency and accuracy of the Kits parts and instructions, however, in the event of omissions or problems in the interpretation or functionality of a Kit, please contact MPS with comments or questions. MPS will replace any missing or damaged Kit parts at no additional charge.  As for our other MPS products, we assume the client/buyer has a complete understanding of the application and use of the product.  Should you have any question relating to the product, kindly contact MPS.

 

PRIVACY

MPS does not use data collection devices. We will not collect or store personal information unless permission is granted by a customer. MPS will keep a client list including email addresses of customers granting permission for the purposes of new product announcements and customer service. All of our financial transactions are handled through certified cheque, credit card, bank e-transfer, cash, paypal, and cheque (must clear bank).  We do not recommend sending cash through/by mail.
